There are two possibilities in the spiritual path. First is that you have not met your guru and feeling restless in search of God. Second is that you have been blessed with God’s ultimate grace on this earth and that is - you have met your guru in physical body and accepted him. Once you accept your guru who has realised God, you are now in his shade. Earlier you were restless, working in scorching sun, now you are blissful, making efforts in blessed environment.
Our Gurudev always asked us for simple test - do we feel that increasing peace is there inside and in our outside behaviour. Our progress can be easily determined with the peace we are getting in. When this peace is complete, continuous and there is no disturbance inside due to any reason, outside behaviour may be as per required scenario but without disturbing our inside peace. In this second path, while working with our Guru’s blessings, I am sure that we shall realise without being restless. We don’t need to worry about delay, we just need to observe our peace and when it is being disturbed, we need to pray him for help during all the disturbance- when it starts, continues and is over after a certain time. Remembering him all the time, even when there is no disturbance increases our peace continuously. No need of God is being felt as he is always there with us. Water is required if you are thirsty. For a small child, mother takes care for all the things. Doing our duty and looking at him like a child, makes us peaceful and restlessness may not be felt.
Do I need to worry about it? I don’t think so. Let it continue as is and enjoying the journey is good option. A river ends in sea so I feel there is no need to worry about destination. Let him decide whether this birth is final or there are many more, why should I ?
I feel difficult many times to relate to God but always feel very secured in the shelter of Gurudev. He is embodiment of God for me, for my understanding and that has helped in moving towards God. It’s personal experience. I always feel blessed by Gurudev’s love. I may not be able to follow his teachings but pray him always and am confident of his love and blessings.
