How to enjoy and avoid fatigue doing work ?

Mind and Outcome

I Want

I want to get rid of you,

'cos I can't get hold of you.

I want to get away from you.

'cos I can't get near to you.

I wanna get rid...

I wanna get away...

I want to get hold of you.

'cos I can't get rid of you.

I want to get near to you.

'cos I can't get away from you.

I wanna get hold...

I wanna get near...

I want to get rid of you,

'cos I can't get hold of you.

I want to get away from you.

'cos I can't get near to you.

POINTS ON HOW TO IMPROVE YOUR LIFE

On September 18, 2007, computer science professor Randy Pausch stepped in front of an audience of 400 people at Carnegie Mellon University to deliver a last lecture called “Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams.”

With slides of his CT scans beaming out to the audience, Randy told his audience about the cancer that is devouring his pancreas and that will claim his life in a matter of months. On the stage that day, Randy was youthful, energetic, handsome, often cheerfully, darkly funny. He seemed invincible. But this was a brief moment, as he himself acknowledged.

Randy’s lecture has become a phenomenon, as has the book he wrote based on the same principles, celebrating the dreams we all strive to make realities. Sadly, Randy lost his battle to pancreatic cancer on July 25th, 2008, but his legacy will continue to inspire us all, for generations to come.

This is amazing, he died of pancreatic cancer in 2008, but wrote a book ‘The last lecture” before then, one of the bestsellers in 2007. What a legacy to leave behind…

In a letter to his wife Jai and his children, Dylan, Logan , and Chloe, he wrote this beautiful "guide to a better life" for his wife and children to follow. May you beblessed by his insight

POINTS ON HOW TO IMPROVE YOUR LIFE
Personality:
1. Don't compare your life to others'. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
2. Don't have negative thoughts of things you cannot control. Instead invest your energy in the positive present moment
3. Don't overdo; keep your limits
4. Don't take yourself so seriously; no one else does
5. Don't waste your precious energy on gossip
6. Dream more while you are awake
7. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need..
8. Forget issues of the past. Don't remind your partner of his/ her mistakes of the past. That will ruin your present happiness.
9. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone. Don't hate others.
10. Make peace with your past so it won't spoil the present
11. No one is in charge of your happiness except you
12. Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn. Problems are simply part of the curriculum that appear and fade away like algebra class but the lessons you learn will last a lifetime.
13. Smile and laugh more
14. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.

Community:
15. Call your family often
16. Each day give something good to others
17. Forgive everyone for everything
18. Spend time with people over the age of 70 & under the age of 6
19. Try to make at least three people smile each day
20. What other people think of you is none of your business
21. Your job will not take care of you when you are sick. Your family and friends will. Stay in touch.

Life:
22. Put GOD first in anything and everything that you think, say and do.
23. GOD heals everything
24. Do the right things
25. However good or bad a situation is, it will change
26. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up
27. The best is yet to come
28. Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful
29. When you awake alive in the morning, thank GOD for it
30. If you know GOD, you will always be happy. So, be happy.

While you practice all of the above, share this knowledge with the people you love, people you school with, people you play with, people you work with and people you live with.
Not only will it enrich YOUR life, but also that of those around you.

Birhday on 5th May 2011

Past Life Regression

Last week on 30th April and 1st May, there was an interesting workshop in Hotel Fern, Jaipur. Dr. Newton Kodaveti (www.liferesearchacademy.com) and his wife Laxmi conducted this workshop to make the participants learn and have a glimpse of past life. Out of curiosity, I also joined. If you have watched a TV serial on NDTV 'Raj Pichle Janam ka', it was something like that. There were different sessions to identify and link your present time illness, fear and relationship issue with your past life.

Some of the participants were really enthusiastic and were able to identify themselves as soldier, boxer, healer, attorney or saint in past life. With many different sessions for meditation, it was a good start for many participants. By linking your present life problems with past life, you may learn acceptance and feel that you are getting fruit of your own deeds. It will help you in handling the situation in better way in present life.

Most of it is what our elders talk in general. When a child is young, looking at his or her traits, elders comment that he was this or that in his past life. Looking at extraordinary knowledge, it is considered to be from past life. There are many instances when people remembered their past birth and facts could be verified as well.

Anyways, it's a good idea to know more about what's happening around us in present life. It may not be right to assume that there was nothing before this life and nothing will be after this life. Hindu, Jain, Boddha always believe in rebirth concept. A person may get a lot of clues about his past life by looking at his interests, dreams, familiar feelings about places, people or objects.

Many of us don't have time for meditation or any such thing. But when we want to make best use of our time, we must remember there is only one life and check our day that we are repeating the same routine for most of the day. Then why don't we take a chance and try something new, even if it has no meaning. Life's meaning is within us and meditation is only way to go inside. All other methods of knowledge are talking of outside world. The whole universe is inside us and what we see outside is just reflection of the same. That's the only reason that the same situation is interpreted in different ways by different people.

Pearls of wisdom from Warren Buffet

"I look for three qualities in people I do business with - intelligence, passion and integrity. But God forbid, if the integrity of the person is questionable and the man is highly intelligent, it can lead to worse scenario".

IS SALARY PAYMENT ENOUGH FOR AN EMPLOYEE ?

An employee gets salary against his time devoted to his company, but the question is that if it is enough to get salary against time?

To answer it, let's look at - Time. Time is essentially LIFE in other words. LIFE is TIME available to a person in his lifetime. So the question is what is real value for LIFE. Life's purpose is ENJOY THE MOMENT. To deliver value out of life, one has to enjoy it.

Now the question is how does one enjoy. The universal phenomenon is that one enjoys while one learns. That's why even the best enjoyment gets boring after repetitions. The feeling to know something, still unknown is the cause of enjoyment.

So the value of time can not be adjusted with salary payments. The only way to get paid for time, is that the employee is learning at his job. So the key is to learn, if you want to get real value out of your job.

HOW CAN YOU BE HAPPY WHEN NEWS ARE GETTING WORSE!

If you read history, you will find nothing new!

HISTORY REPEATS ITSELF. THE LIFE GOES IN CYCLE.

The universe is always same. A continuous stream of events is happening and repeating again and again. The whole purpose of this universe is to let us be happy forever. To reach to ultimate joy, is the whole purpose of life.

'Getting sad over what's happening' is not different than 'getting sad during a bad dream'. According to Hindu philosophy this whole world is a dream with open eyes.

Nothing is permanent here. So when you are so happy about some thing, just remember that it will pass away. When you are so sad about something, just remind yourself that it will pass away.

Big events/ articles/ achievements can make you happy for sometime but only after a long period of struggle and with passage of time, the happiness evaporates.

On the other hand there are so many small things/events which can make you happy again and again. At some point in life you find that there is less struggle and more peace. Getting happy with small things and ignoring what makes you sad, is the key to happiness. In the disasters, when you feel an urge to do something, do your bit and you will be happy. Life is difficult when you try to live with your mind. It becomes easier when you ignore bad and get happiness from small actions/events. There are many creatures like honeybee who have shorter life span and bigger struggles, still we praise them. Our happiness is an internal matter and it has got little to do with external events.

When we raise this question, why is it so and feel helpless then we become sad. If we accept that it is so because it is to be so, then we are just calm and will see what should be done at our end. Some of us are happy with leading people to change, some of us are happy contributing some money to needy ones, some of us are happy to contribute time (voluntary services) and some of us just keep on talking or keep on thinking about it. We have to understand our own nature and act accordingly. When we act according to our nature, we become happy.

Women’s tears kill men's sex drive

(ANI,Jan 7, 2011)

They say tears are woman's best arsenal – and they probably are – for they are powerful enough to dampen a man's sexual arousal, according to a new study.

According to Noam Sobel, a cognitive neuroscientist at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot, Israel, tears contain chemical signals that decrease sexual arousal and testosterone levels in men, reports Nature.

In the study, men were asked to sniff vials containing either the women's tears or saline that had been applied to their cheeks.

Results showed that men who sniffed the tears perceived those women as sexually less attractive than did men who sniffed saline.

And men who took a whiff of tears (and not saline) reported a decrease in sexual arousal. These men also reported reduced activity in the areas of brain that are associated with sexual arousal, such as the hypothalamus.

"I think the study has used sound methodology and the results indeed are fascinating. But as far as I know, there is no clear logical, theoretical or empirical justification to design a study on the effects of tears on sex," Nature quoted Ad Vingerhoets, who studies emotion at Tilburg University in the Netherlands, as saying.

Interestingly, on the other hand, tears are considered to heighten empathy and induce caring behaviour, and they act as sexual attractants in mice but decrease sexual arousal in humans.

Denise Chen, who studies human olfaction at Rice University in Houston, Texas, said that to explore whether tears evoked by different emotions have different effects, the researchers should also perform experiments in which they elicit happy weeping, or neutral tears caused by allergens or irritants such as onions.

She concluded, "overall, as a first study, it's very exciting and it suddenly opens the door for a lot more studies in the future".

Love and Marriage

Do not marry whom you love!

AND

Love whom you marry!

If there is love without marriage, do not kill that love by marriage.

Once you are married with someone, love him/her. You will enjoy your life and will be satisfied with your life.

Marriage is RESTING PLACE for TIRED soul.

Always remember after marriage: What you have got is GEM. Even GEMS have faults and seems better or worse when compared to others. Every GEM is unique and beautiful, changes its shine with cut and angle of light.

NO KNOWLEDGE WITHOUT COLLEGE. NO LIFE WITHOUT WIFE.

A joke: There are two types of man: hus-mukh (cheerful), hus-band (No more laughter).

Love to spouse is just like love to family members, full of duties and responsibilities.

Nobody loves, everybody expects love.

Love is LOVE when there is no expectation. If you do not expect, then love turns out to be DIVINE LOVE. ANYONE whom you love, becomes GOD for you. Either it is a stone statue of a Hindu God or Buddha or Jain Tirthankar, or a pet, or a family member, or a friend, or your life partner.

LOVE is when you loose your senses at every sight. LOVE needs only company, nothing else. Do not kill such love by marriage. Marriage doesn't have enough freedom for survival of love. FREEDOM is OXYGEN for LOVE.

LOVE gets life when you are not together. LOVE craves for company but does not need company for its survival.

LOVE happens with physical body but transcends physical body. LOVE is full of imaginations. LOVE sees what nobody sees. LOVE is immortal, beyond mortal body. Even after marrying to someone else, LOVE survives in memories and imaginations.

LOVE IS DIVINE. LOVING ALL IS BEING DIVINE. LOVING ONE IS PATH TO LOVING ALL.

JOY AND SORROW

The world is always like this - full of sorrows and happiness. Here everything is abundant. The problem is distribution, not availability.

Indian Philosophy 'Vendanta' says the universe is constructed with single element 'Brahma' and that one manifests to many. If it's true then the only way to happiness is hidden in sorrow somewhere. Kahlil Gibran says :

Your joy is your sorrow unmasked.

And the self, same well from which your laughter rises was oftentimes filled with your tears.

And how else can it be?

The deeper that sorrow carves into your being, the more joy you can contain.

Is not the cup that hold your wine the very cup that was burned in the potter's oven?

And is not the flute that soothes your spirit, the very wood that was hollowed with knives?

When you are joyous, look deep into your heart and you shall find it is only that which has given you sorrow that is giving you joy.

When you are sorrowful look again in your heart, and you shall see that in truth you are weeping for that which has been your delight.

In Indian philosophy, this universe is 'lila by parmatma' (play by God). The reason for its existence is to let us learn and enjoy, to get back to the same spirit where we came from.

By doing our bit to bring happiness into this world, we end up getting rid of our ego. Once we get rid of ego, we may get united with our own soul which is inseparable with GOD.

We have a lot of memories (Sanskar) in our mind which has travelled us since many of previous births and will continue to do so in future births as well. First we learn, then practice, then form a habit, then it becomes our nature which can leave us at the end of our life. But next to that is 'sanskar' which doesn't leave us and keep on travelling with us in future births. That forms our ego, nature and styles in next birth and decides next birth as well.

Each time we learn a lot from environment and build up our ego and decide to contribute a bit in this world. Our ego pushes us to do our bit to leave a mark or contribute towards happiness in this world. But when we get into this process, we find out that ego is the biggest hurdle to happiness. And if we continue to proceed, we can see that our ego is reducing and happiness is increasing in this world.
